Seismic Innovation for inclusive Resilience
Anastasios Sextos is a Professor of Earthquake Engineering and the Director of the UKCRIC National Facility for Soil-Foundation-Structure Interaction at the University of Bristol, UK. He holds a dual appointment at the National Technical University of Athens in Greece.
Anastasios utilizes large-scale experimental methods and high-performance computational tools to enhance the seismic resilience of infrastructure and communities. During the years his work has evolved into a quest to device interdisciplinary and disruptive ideas that can reduce the cost and complexity of seismic design across the globe.
